Saying Goodbye
Saying goodbye is the hardest part of any adventure. I will miss Mozambique terribly when I get back to the US. Why must all good things come to an end? I am not looking forward to saying goodbye tomorrow. The people here have taught me so much and I am a better person because I got to know them. I hope to come back to Mozambique. I have promised myself that I will never forget this experience and that I will always remember to serve others who have less than I do. I think it is important for each of us to step out of our daily routines each day to experience someone else's reality and to learn how to help them better. This is where real happiness lies.

I hope you have a safe and fun trip back. I'm sure you're looking for all of the comforts of home when you get back. Yes, we DO HAVE IT GOOD IN THE UNITED STATES. I am proud and know that we have a lot of what we have because of our troops that keep us safe!
Love you and look forward to hearing from you when you get back!
Hey Andrea, This is a hard time I bet. Saying goodbye. It's okay to cry. Don't try to hold it in. Plus, the people need to know how much they mean to you. On the other hand, I can't wait to see you and I am so glad that you are coming back and that you were safe the whole time. Oh, btw, I looked at the link where you went to the animal park. I read about the different animals and it said that the elephant makes those loud sounds when it is alarmed. So I think the elephant was more scared than you guys were. Okay, girl, I hope you continue blogging in the future. Love you.
These children (& people) are beautiful! What a great experience Andrea. Thanks for sharing with us so that we can live vicariously through u. I've really enjoyed looking at the pictures & reading your comments these past few weeks. -Aaron
Andrea,
I know what you mean. It is always hard to say good bye. And I am beginning to understand that. Its crazy how life is. But I'm glad that you were able to learn a lot from your trip to Mozambique. I am sure you will miss it. You will, however, have learned how grateful you are for all that you have in the states. And you will be able to always remember the experience you had. Now you can pass this on to your children in the future and show them what you got to do and learn from the people in Mozambique. Take care. I wish you a good and safe flight back home. Thanks again for sharing your experience and posting up pictures.
Andrea! You went to AFRICA! that is crazy!!! I am glad to catch up with you again! welcome back
What a great trip! We will all miss being in Africa. You took us all there through technology itself and it's something I'll always be grateful for.
Thanks for being a great example!!!
Ruth
Andrea,
I tried to send something earlier but it didn't work. So I will try again.
Sooo cool you had the opportunity to go to Africa! It say's a whole lot about a person who gives their time to those in need. I really like what you have on this site. You probably put in some hard time and effort to do it.
I like the idea of providing technology to the people of Africa. You might have already thought of this but I bet if you asked church members to donate their old or unused computers to the people in Africa, I am sure many of them would be ready and willing. The difficulty may be in shipping those kinds of things to Africa b/c if the costs. But I am sure a way can be provided. BIEN HECHO!
